I grew up watching Johnny Quest and always wanted to hear all of the music from the show. Thank you for posting this,Hoyt Curtin was a musical genius and he will be missed! You really made my day with this post!! :-)
This was a Canadian bootleg that was sold a few years ago on eBay. The tracks are taken from a Japanese bootleg and are also duplicated on a two-CD bootleg (The Jonny Quest Project) that came out about the same time. The other issues had more underscores. The background music for Space Ghost was mostly JQ items.
I just wanted to say thanks so much for posting a download of this album! It ROCKS! I've waited 30 years to find this! I do have one small gripe though.... I am a little disappointed that the album seems to be missing one trac that appears on the "House of Seven Gargoyles" episode of J.Q. it's the scene near the climax of the episode where Race and Dr.Quest are flying a helicopter chasing the spy who stole the Ericon bar. As they approach the Theo-rd, they spot two men with rifles wearing skin diving suits and standing ontop of a floating submarine which is just underneath a glacial over-hang. As Race and Dr. Quest fly above them, the two men begin firing at them. This is where the music trac I speak of kicks in. It is awesome, but sadly, it does not appear on the album. why? :( Very disappointed.
This blog serves as a backup & chronological history of my posts made at the lucidmedia blog. I fully intend to keep it current with that blog and perhaps develop it further on its own.

ReplyDeleteSorry I don't rightly know where stuff like that would be, but you could always try a search or two on Soulseek.

Excellent stuff, many thanx... (PS~you spelled Jonny wrong on the header)
ReplyDeleteThanks TWM. Loved these tunes for 40 years.
ReplyDeleteLike Moneymizzle, I'm also desperate to find the incidental music for the mid to late '60s HB sci-fi tunes. I like those even more.
Thanks again
Rallo
Many, many thanks. This is absolutely fantastic!

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!! The Hoyt Curtin's music is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this. Been wanting this soundtrack since I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteWhy Hoyt Curtan doesn't have dozens of albums out is beyond me. That was some major talent! TY for the DL!!
